Taiwanese Red Pork

Ingredients

Pig pork 600 grams
Ginger 5 grams
Minced garlic 5 grams
Red yeast rice 100 grams
Egg yolk 1
Sweet potato powder
Soy sauce 1 tsp
Salt a little
Rice wine 1 tsp
Sugar 1 tsp
Pepper a little
5 Spice powder a little

Cooking Steps

1) Wash and clean the pork.
2) Combine ginger, minced garlic, seasoning and mix it well, then evenly applied to the surface of the pork, and followed by a layer of the red yeast paste.
3) Wrap the meat in cling wrap and let it marinade in the refrigerator for half a day.
4) After marinated, scrape off the excess marinate and and coat it with the egg yolk and followed by sweet potato powder. Rested it for 5 minutes.
5) Prepare a hot oil pan. Once the pan is about 150 degree slowly pan fry the marinated meat in small fire. Once closed to fully cooked bring the fire up to full flame for slight crispy burnt effect.
